I resisted having Reeses cups at lunch, got sun chips instead. Processed, yes, but a better all around choice. I’m happy.

With a continuously running clock do one pull-up the first minute, two pull-ups the second minute, three pull-ups the third minute… continuing as long as you are able.
Rounds: 7, 50lbs assisted
I’m skipping my workout tomorrow, I’ll be working (on my feet) at least 12 hours. I’m not so big on killing myself.

Or snow peas. I’ve found packages of 3 servings of raw snow peas, and dipped in ranch they are awesome! When they are eaten with carrots and beef jerky, I’m a happy panda. Throw in cashews and I’m in heaven. =3 I may start looking for ways to buy them in bulk, or at least 5 servings instead of 3 so I have one each school day.
I can’t wait for Christmas break, I’m planning on a lot of speedwork for running and a lot of olympic lift practice. I just don’t have the kind of time right now to build a good foundation in my form. I plan on taking a picture of myself at the first of every month and posting it, just a quick snapshot to keep track of progress/kick me in the butt.

My First Crossfit Total! I definitely surprised myself, especially with how heavy I am I never thought I could lift over my bodyweight! So I’m uber happy. =3
Deadlift: 165
Squat: 135
Press: 65

My goal this week for food is to only eat junk with a meal. No cookies and candy between meals or substituting for one, for now I want to focus on keeping even blood sugar levels. Snacks can be something like nuts or jerky, but anything carby has to have protein and/or fat with it. I’d love to do an Intermittent Fasting type plan, but really my eating is so horrible I have bigger things to worry about.
I’m starting to realize I’m firefighting again this summer. I need to be in DAMN good shape, which will require me getting a handle on junk food. =P

Clean and Jerk 5 x 3
I’ve never done cleans or jerks or any Olympic lifts, so today I instead worked on cleans. They were a lot of fun, got a lot of stares from the 3 sets of 8 bicep curlers. I can tell the coordination and power are going to take a long time to develop, but I feel like I have a good foundation. I was able to go up to 50lbs, I know I can go higher, though. Woohoo!
I ran 1 mile intervalling between 5.5 and 7 mph, then ran one at 6.5. I have karate tonight, I don’t know what we’ll be doing!

I took out the kettlebell swings, due to lack of access, and when I tried to do the burpees and double unders, my legs simply wouldn’t bounce! I can’t wait for this workout to come again, I could do a lot better. The sets were supposed to be 50 straight, not divided into sets, and done for time, but I was happy to make it through the whole thing! I’m posting my before pictures here soon, somewhere more discrete than th banner! I’ll take measurements too. =3
I did well with food today, no junk food at all! I’m going this week with no junk, except when I’m visiting family I can have 2 cookies per day, and one slice apple pie on Thanksgiving. =3 ~1600 calories
